VCAL Teacher Toolkit 2020

The Foundation for Young Australians in partnership with the BGKLLEN, have created a teacher toolkit for VCAL educators. First developed in 2017, the toolkit has recently been updated to reflect changes to 2020 curriculum. Drawing on the New Work Order report series from FYA, the New Work Order VCAL Teacher Toolkit offers resources required for teachers to facilitate an immersive learning experience that extends beyond the classroom.

Students with additional needs

The ECDF is a project initiated by the BGKLLEN to increase the educational inclusion and participation of vulnerable students in mainstream education. Making School Less Scary is a step-by-step guide to managing the transition process of young people with additional needs into your school year 7 program.

Free Teacher Resource - Managing Stress and Anxiety Teacher Resource Kit

Anxiety disorders can seriously affect a student’s ability to learn and take in new information. We teamed up with the Anxiety Resource Centre of Victoria to create a free toolkit to help educators create anxiety aware classrooms and find new methods to implement in the classroom for when students become elevated.

The Anti Anxiety Card Pack

The Anti- Anxiety Card (green) was first developed in 2018 with the help of the Anxiety Recovery Centre and young people. In 2019 five new anti anxiety cards were designed by young people for young people encompassing the strategies explored throughout the Managing Stress and Anxiety Workshops. To order some of our Anti-Anxiety Cards developed in partnership with Headspace Elsternwick, email your contact details and quantity to admin@bgkllen.org.au
