This Free virtual conference will explore how STEM is being used in a range of industries and careers and inspire students with stories, presentations, and demonstrations by industry leaders to consider a career in STEM.

Monash University

In this train the trainer session James Driscoll, Assistant Lecturer, Sedimentology & Basin Analysis Group, School of Earth, Atmosphere & Environment, will discuss the differences between weather and climate, thus dispelling one of the most common myths regarding Anthropogenic Climate Change (including some infamous Trump Tweets). James will also demonstrate how real-world data in the Australian context can be used as part of a student activity.

BrainSTEM

Sid Verma from BrainSTEM will be running an exciting session for teachers which will include:

40 min presentation on Design Thinking and its application in classrooms, along with some real/interactive examples, followed by a 10-minute group activity and 10 minutes for Q&A
