BGK VET Cluster
Led by BGKLLEN, the BGK VET Cluster is a collaborative partnership between Government, Catholic and Independent schools, TAFEs and RTOs working together to support Vocational Education and Training (VET) in the Bayside, Glen Eira, and Kingston areas.
Our focus is to increase the access to VET Delivered in Secondary Schools (VDSS) to all students within the cluster and provide resources and expertise to both teaching staff and students.
We do this by strengthening our relationships with over 30 schools and developing real-world skills and improving employability outcomes for students. We aim to help students explore their career pathways and help them to prepare for their futures.
BGKLLEN GOALS
- To ensure students within our cluster have equitable access to VDSS programs offered through variety of TAFE and RTO’s
- Collaborate and work with participating schools VET Coordinators and Career Practitioners across the BGKLLEN Cluster to help increase access to VDSS for their students
- Work in conjunction with VET Coordinators to explore transport solutions, enabling greater access to VDSS provision
- Increase awareness and understanding of VDSS program offerings across BGKLLEN region through sharing resources and TAFE tours for VET Coordinators
- Strengthen collaboration and engagement between BGKLLEN schools through regular meetings, bulletins, events and planning day
