Introducing your Applied Learning Award WINNERS!!

Whitelion – Stride, Rotary Bentleigh Moorabbin and BGKLLEN again partnered this year to bring the Applied Learning Awards to the Bayside, Glen Eira and Kingston region. There was over 100 applications and the judges had a very tough time picking winners.
We know that Applied Learning is vital to young people looking to get a feel for the workforce and build vocational skills while completing secondary school. This includes the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL), Vocational Education and Training in Schools (VETiS) programs or School-Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SBATs). That is why we think this is such a great initiative.

The Teachers/trainers, coordinators, schools, education providers and employers are also recognised for their positive contribution to applied learning throughout the year. There wouldn’t be any vocational programs without these dedicated and outstanding people.

As well as recognising outstanding achievements of students and the adults who support them, the ALAs aim to encourage future involvement in Applied Learning and uphold the importance of these programs in our community.
A massive thanks to Whitelion, Rotary Bentleigh Moorabbin, Highett Neighbourhood House for supporting the ALA and the Department of Education & Training, Johns Consulting, Catholic Education and others for being volunteer judges.

Most importantly, congrats to our winners!!
